In Bulgaria, The Tomato Tour is organized by AGROLINK, an NGO that promotes sustainable agriculture, coordinates the national organic farmers’ network, supports environmental protection and the implementation of sustainable development principles. AGROLINK coordinates a organic farmers network. AGROLINK works with NGOs, academic and government institutions for training, research, and information campaigns. It publishes the magazine Zhiva Zemia (Living Earth) and informational materials. Its specific areas of action are sustainable rural development, organic farming, consumers and Farmers rights, education and training on environmentally friendly agriculture, GMO issues.
AGROLINK is a member of the European NGO network GENET and IFOAM and works closely with Friends of the Earth Europe.
